Large-Scale Blast Unit (LSBU) is purpose-built for biotech and pharmaceutical applications.
It uses a powerful forced-air system to ensure rapid and uniform temperature control and delivers fast pull-down for secure freezing and controlled thawing to maintain product quality across every batch.
The LSBU can blast freeze up to 2,400 kg of liquid product (bottles, bags, CryVault containers and pallets) from +25°C to -80°C.
Its advanced airflow design ensure consistently freezing across the entire load, eliminating thermal gradients and minimizing product stress.
The system is available in multiple configurations with modular inventory systems and scalable capacities, allowing precise adaptation to specific process requirements and facility layouts.

The primary function of the LOWENCO Large-Scale Blast Unit (LSBU) is to provide
rapid, consistent, and uniform freezing or thawing of high-value pharmaceutical
products.
It utilizes a powerful forced-air system to deliver fast pull-down times, allowing it to blast freeze up to 2,400 kg of liquid product, such as bottles, bags, and CryVault containers, from +25°C to -80°C while minimizing thermal gradients and
product stress.
The LSBU integrates seamlessly by allowing operators to freeze and subsequently store
products without the need for repacking or extra handling.
Products can be loaded onto custom-engineered trolleys that are moved directly from the LSBU (for rapid freezing) to the LSSU (for long-term storage).
This integrated workflow minimizes human contact, reduces contamination risks and maintains high product integrity throughout the cold chain process.
